My hotmail inbox has disappeared in WLMDB. There is no reset list button like in OE, and the download all folders button is greyed out. Any ideas on how I can get it back?

homail inbox disappeared
I think that I resolved this just now by switching my windows live mail to the classical hotmail view. I swtiched it back to live mail experience. Hopefully it won't disappear again.

Hmm I installed windows live mail desktop and It connected to my hotmail account and got all the folders except inbox which is missing?
Try messing with the views, not sure what this "Classical Hotmail" view that j mentions is though. looks great apart from that

Sign into Live Mail/Hotmail from the web, click options in the upper right corner, then click choose inbox layout.

Ok I sussed it now.
went to www.hotmail.com
Click on Mail tab The clickedOptions button on the top right.
Then click on Hotmail navigation link.
Then tick the box to use the older style of tabs.
I then uninstalled Windows Live Beta (as my inbox showed, but no msgs)
Then had to delete to the windows live folder: C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail Desktop Beta
This deleted what windows live had imported previously.
Reinstalled Windows Live Mail beta and it pulled all my msgs correctly and filled my Inbox for me.
Thanks for the help J

There *has* go to be an easier way to see your inbox messages than having to go
through all that.
Has anyone else tried importing the inbox from your OE6 folder? I gave it a try...and it *acted* like it was importing everything....it grabbed the correct number of messages and everything....it took (what appeared to be) the correct amount of time per file (ie. larger files took longer) but when I go to my inbox, the messages still aren't showing up.
Personally, I think the "Current View" settings are Borked on the Inbox...but I could be wrong.
THAT'S THE KEY.....I just figured out what it did!!!!
When I imported the inbox, it created a folder at the BOTTOM of the folder tree called "IMPORTED FOLDER"...ALL of my messages are under there in a folder called INBOX.... Just SELECT ALL and drag them into your Hotmail - Inbox....DONE!!!
Oh...BTW, I'm running Windows 2003 Server on a 2.28Ghz intel based computer w/ 2GB of RAM and a 20.1" Viewsonic Flat Panel monitor.
Just one last thing....anyone else notice there is no scroll bar for this window? Eh...I guess that's a diferent thread.

"BD" <www.SWPPM.com> wrote in message OK, it didn't look like it did it at first, but it did. The suggestion I have below WILL double your Inbox when you go into Windows Live Mail (www.hotmail.com) So, I added a little section that you may want to complete to prevent that from happening.

Before you move on to the following steps, but AFTER you've imported the messages from OE6 to WLMDB, go into your WLMB and delete all the messages in your inbox(or move them to a sub folder) whichever you feel safest with.
Let me also suggest that if you don't know what you're doing, get someone that does.
